Scaredy Cat

This evening I dropped my son off at a church function and I decided to go and try to find a little nature photo for the blog. I remember all the nature type photos I used to take when I got my first camera (years ago) and lately I've been wanting to shoot a little more of that sort of thing. The first thing I noticed when I stopped at Stevens Creek was how quiet it was, no hustle and bustle of city life, now I suddenly remembered why I liked it so much before. As I stood on the creek bank and composed the top photo ( which is average at best) I was thinking f stops and shutter speeds. The bank was somewhat overgrown with weeds, it was nearly 90 degrees and I remembered the snakes were still out. Then suddenly, out of nowhere something brushed against my leg and I tell you one thing buddy, bout soiled the old britches. I jumped back and this half grown cat just looked at me and meowed in this soft innocent little voice....I thought you little rascal (that's the G version). Then the second one showed up, I assumed it was some sort of ploy for food. Well I didn't have anything to feed them and given the fact they probably did take a couple of years off my life, I had to leave them be. Not to worry, there was a house a few hundreds yards up the road and I'm sure they were bored when they saw me drive by, and it was probably like "cool, lets go scare the guy in the truck."
