About 60 years ago a group of guys started playing golf on a old municipal course on Saturday mornings. They started calling themselves the Irish Mafia and the name stuck. To this day the group still exists even though all the original members no longer play. New blood has taken over and they have a standing 8 am tee time. My time following the mafia was great and they even invited me to join. What a great bunch of guys. I might go see if I can win a little money.
