The statue of James U. Jackson, founder of North Augusta, was sporting a Santa hat the other day. I had to chuckle a little when I saw it because it looks like something I would have done back in my prime. Of course I would have added some other accessories but anyway when I saw the hat kinda pulled down over his eyes I thought maybe he couldn't stand to see how Christmas has become such a commercial event.
