rainy weekend and ants in your pants

It rained all weekend and it was beautiful. I spent late Saturday afternoon stalking a beautiful hardwood bottom looking for a deer in the rain. No deer, but one of the most beautiful evenings I've ever spent in the woods. Next time I'll take the camera instead of my rifle. On a funny note, the good Lord has blessed the south with a wonderful creature called the fire ant and while I was putting my gear away after the hunt I accidentally stepped in a ant bed (by then it was dark outside). As my brother in law and I proceeded down the road I felt that familiar sting you get from an ant bite. Then, I turned on the interior light to see my pants covered in ants. He quickly stopped the truck and I jumped out and went to knocking the babies off. Needless to say it was probably funny to watch, me beating those ants off out in front of the headlights where I could see and luckily I only got about 15-20 bites, so I'll live.

The above photo was taken in my backyard this evening.
