Godfather of Soul Part VI

I'll end right where I started, at the James Brown Statue on Broad Street. Well what can you say about the hardest working man in show business that hasn't already been said. He burned the candle at both ends for 73 years, had some good times and some bad times and died a music icon. As I stood and looked at his statue that New Years afternoon someone had a small radio playing one of his signature songs and at that moment at little boy of about 5 years old began to dance, another generation touched by his music. Say what you will about the man but what I remember about him is that he gave back a lot to his community and played some hip music even a 40 something year old white boy like me can dig. Peace.
