House Fire

When you go to a scene of an accident or a fire like this you always have to ask yourself a question. What do I want to show here? How do I want to show it? Will it be a family member sad at the loss of a loved one or the loss of their home filled with precious memories. As a photojournalist it can be a fine line between getting the so called "SHOT" and maintaining someones personal dignity. I sometimes struggle with this, sometimes I see the shot but my heart goes out to the victim and don't want to cause anymore grief in their life. Maybe that means my heart is still working, I hope it always does.
